Seahorse

A seahorse looks like a mini horse without legs and it lives in the sea.  It is not only small, it is very slow too.  In fact it is the slowest creature on planet Earth.

A seahorse might float away while it is sleeping so it curls its tail around a coral or seaweed to keep itself anchored.  I would not want to be a seahorse because I do not want to wake any place else other than in my own bed.

It is very interesting to know that Mummy Seahorse does not become pregnant.  It is Daddy Seahorse that gives birth to fries and in the documentary that I watched, Papa Seahorse gave birth to 1,800 fries.  1,800 babies at a time.  What an incredible feat!

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
