Today is Chinese New Year.  I wear my new dress and shoes.  I go to my relatives’ homes and they give me angpows.

The Chinese in Malaysia celebrate Chinese New Year once a year in January or February.  It is a big celebration for us.  We light fireworks and firecrackers on the new year eve.

I love celebrating Chinese New Year because I don’t have to go to school.  The adults give me angpows when I wish them happy new year.  I am one happy girl because I earn so much money over a 3-day period.

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
