Once upon a time, there was a young lady named Kate.  She was sad because she didn’t have a gown to wear to the New Year Eve’s Ball.  So, she went to the woods to be alone with her sorrow.  She sat down on a big rock and began to weep.

All of a sudden, her fairy godmother appeared.  “Dearest, why are you crying?” she asked her goddaughter.  “Tell me your troubles and I will make everything right for you.”

“Oh Godmama, I want to go to the ball but I have nothing suitable to wear!”  she sobbed.  “Prince William is going to attend the ball.  I admire him so much and this is the chance of a lifetime to meet him!”

“Stop crying, my pet.  This is easily remedied,” the fairy godmother said.  “You shall have the most beautiful gown the world has ever seen.”  With a wave of her godmother’s magic wand, Kate immediately found herself dressed in a new elegant gown.  She even looked like a real princess!

Kate’s fairy godmama also gave her a magic flying carpet.  Kate thanked her godmother gratefully and flew off to the town square in her new party dress to attend the biggest party of the year.

Prince William fell head over heels for her at first sight.  The young couple couldn’t take their eyes off each other.  They waltzed only with each other that night.  Before the party was over, the prince proposed to Kate, “My love, will you marry me and make me the happiest man alive?”

“Yes!  Yes!  Yes!” agreed Kate gladly.  So, they married and lived happily ever after.

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
