There was a kite flying competition at the field yesterday.  It was windy and a perfect day to fly kites.  The children were very excited and waited impatiently for the competition to begin.  Each child had made their own kites with the help of their families.

When the competition finally started, everyone cheered loudly.  Jamie’s kite flew the highest.  She won a big food hamper.  Tommy did not win a prize.  He was very disappointed.  “Cheer up, Tommy!”  said Jamie, “I’ll share my hamper with you.”

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
