In a little stream, there lives a tiny fish named Joey.  Joey has many friends.  He plays and swims all day long with his buddies.

One day, a kingfisher suddenly appeared and ate two of his gang.  Joey and his friends were terrified.  They did not know how to stop the greedy bird from eating them.

Joey decided to ask Opal the wise owl for advice.  Opal told him to build an underground hideout in the stream bed.  Joey and his pals took a week to finish building their hiding place.  Now, they have a place to hide from the hungry kingfisher.

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
