A Scary Experience

Shawn and I were walking home on a breezy night when we heard footsteps coming from behind us.  The steps seemed to be getting closer and closer to us.  We were nervous so we quickened our pace.  Shawn turned around and saw a tall burly man with a knife in his hand.  Without hesitating, he broke into a run and shouted for me to follow.

When we were about to reach home, we called out loudly to our Father. “Dad!  Help!”  Father opened the gate to let us in.  Uncle Lim grabbed an iron bar and swung it against the villain.  Together, Uncle Lim and Father overpowered the crook.  Then Father called the police on the telephone.  Before long, the police arrived and arrested the bad guy.

The brute was brought to the police  station in the police car.  He was later sentenced to two years in prison by the judge.  Shawn and I were glad to have escaped unscathed.  Perhaps we should have a bodyguard or two accompanying us the next time we go out on our own.

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
