Buying Vegetables

By JW (11 years old)

Stutong Market

Last Saturday, I accompanied my mother to the market to buy vegetables.  There was a small crowd at the market.  Many people were there to shop for their weekly supply of fresh vegetables from the greengrocers.

Mother bought many kinds of vegetables like long beans, cucumbers, broccoli, brinjals, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, garlic and onions.  The cucumbers were very green and heavy.  Carrying the basket of vegetables was like carrying a baby elephant.

After we finished our marketing, we went home.  Mother cooked some of the fresh vegetables for dinner that evening.  Everyone ate until our stomachs felt like bursting.

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
