A Mischievous Boy

A Mischievous Boy
By A. Ting (8 years old)

Allen was standing in the corridor on the third storey of his flat one evening.  He had just finished drinking a can of soft drink. Feeling bored, he decided to throw the empty can at a man who was passing by down below.  It almost hit the passer-by before it landed with a loud clang on the pavement.

Startled, the passer-by looked up at Allen with a fierce scowl on his face.  He began to  scold the naughty boy loudly.  Allen’s mother heard the commotion outside and came out of their flat to investigate.  “What have you done?” she asked her son.

When she knew of Allen’s misdeed, she told him to apologise to the angry man.  The man accepted Allen’s apologies and went on his way while shaking his head and muttering, “Youngsters these days have lousy manners!”

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
