A Mishap in the School Canteen

Hi, this is Aaron again.  In this essay, I learned the difference between a burn and a scald.  Pretty cool, isn’t it?

A Mishap in the School Canteen

It was the recess period at school.  The students were queuing up to buy food in the canteen.  Tommy accidentally bumped into his classmate Jane.  Her hot bowl of rice porridge spilled onto her body.  She cried out in pain as the hot gruel scalded her arms.

Tommy ran to tell their class teacher about the accident.  The teacher told Tommy to get the first-aid box from the sick bay while she hurried to the canteen to help Jane.  She gently washed the scalded areas with cold water and bandaged the blistered skin with white gauze.

Feeling very sorry about the mishap, Tommy apologised to Jane profusely. He sincerely hoped Jane would recover soon from her blisters.

About Katherine

Just a female who has time to do a bit of pondering and musing. Otherwise, I am on an interesting journey down the path to being a senior citizen.
