It was a happy moment for Mr HB when he realised that he has improved significantly in his writing. Way to go, HB!
Here’s one of his recent essays.

It had been two weeks since Will moved to a new school. It was difficult for him to adapt to the new environment as there were many differences between his old school and the new one. Where his former school had clear-cut rules, the present one had none. As a result, the students were an unruly lot where everyone set their own rules. You could say mayhem reigned in school.
On the first day at the new school, Will did not dare to talk to his new schoolmates. They were all yelling at one another and some of them even swore like sailors. Nobody showed any interest in Will or in their lessons. Needless to say, he had a difficult day.
On his way home one afternoon, Will saw a group of schoolmates in an alleyway. His curiosity got the better of him so he went closer to find out what they were up to. “Hey, what are you guys doing here?” he called out. They all turned and stared at him malevolently.
“Do you want something awesome, dude?” one of them jeered. “No…no tha…thanks,” Will stammered, realising too late that they were the notorious school bullies and they meant to do him harm. He began to inch his way backwards but one of them suddenly grabbed his shoulders.
“Scared, are you now?” the bullyboy smirked. Will tried to run from them but hemmed in by the toughies, he knew it was an impossible feat. He tried to yell for help instead. “Help! Help!” he cried at the top of his voice. Luckily, a passer-by witnessed the bullying and immediately called the police on his mobile phone.
The police arrived in the nick of time and apprehended the aggressors. The police brought them to the police station and notified their parents. Horrified by the incident, Will’s parents decided to transfer him to another school. When Will heard their decision, he was overjoyed. No longer would he have to rub shoulders with those bullies again!
